Wood fibreboards like Particle Boards (PB), MDF or OSB boards are produced in complex double belt press systems at high speed. The press consists of two steel belts that transfer temperature and pressure onto loose woodchips or wood fibers mixed with special glues. In one single step the wood fibers and glue are heated and pressed into a endless fiber board – that is why the used steel belts are running under extreme conditions. Smooth surfaces to provide continuously flat wood fibreboards, even transfer of temperature, easy cleaning and stability – belts for the wood industry need to have many characteristics just like ours.
