Processed food like surimi is made in steam tunnels on Contibelt stainless steel belts. The hot steam slowly cooks the surimi paste efficiently and in a controlled manner. The belt transports the product and allows applying exact temperatures onto the surimi paste. Cleaning these belts is easy and efficient and our rubber tracking ropes (“v-ropes”) resist the temperatures of the hot steam while being made from a special rubber compound that is according to CFR 21 §177.2600 FDA.
