ConveRope-The most advanced v-rope attachement!

One way to track a steel belt on a conveyor is by attaching v-ropes onto the belt. The v-ropes must withstand pressure, heat and secured on the belt in the right position and in the most advanced way. By doing so, it allows the end user a piece of mind that their belt investment will not track off and get damaged or destroyed because of v-ropes that do not stay attached to the belt. This is why Contibelt put so much effort into this very important detail of the production of a belt. We introduce to you the: Contibelt “ConveRope MHT & ULT” rubber v-ropes!

Different approaches to v-rope attachment:

Most steel belt suppliers use conventional hot bonding methods to attach their rubber v-ropes onto stainless steel belts. If you put pressure or heat on these v-ropes or simply use them every day, you risk that they will come loose possibly resulting in an accident. For sure you will experience tracking problems and many interruptions in your production-process.

Conventional V-rope

Contibelt chose a new path! We developed and patented a unique, highly reliable v-rope attachment process which we call “ConveRope”. This direct vulcanization process, which does not involve any hot bonding films or tapes, creates intra-molecular cross linking between rubber v-rope and steel belt. Independent tests have shown this attachment method to be up to 10 times more resistant to mechanical and thermal influences than conventional attachment methods. Our v-rope attachment is so strong that – even when applying brute force – it is hard if not impossible to remove it from a steel belt with a pair of pliers.

Almost all steel belt users who are operating under harsh production environments are relying on our highly resistant ConveRope v-ropes.

Temperature resistance of Contibelt v-ropes:

Whereas v-ropes of other steel belt suppliers often are limited to be used at temperatures up to +80°C (+176°F) for limitations in the attachment process, Contibelt can offer a v-rope that is guaranteed to resist long term exposure to temperatures of up to +135°C (+275°F). Also, Contibelt is in the position of offering a special v-rope for low temperature applications that can withstand temperatures of as low as -50°C (-58 °F). This temperature range is, for example, prevailing in instant coffee freeze-dryers.

So whether you are freezing fish or cooking it – Contibelt is a good choice for stable and smoothly tracking steel belts!
